Lettuce varieties resistant to the new race of Bremia lactucae Bl: 37EU, recently identified and nominated in Europe
The International Bremia Evaluation Board for the EU (IBEB-EU) officially designated a new race of Bremia, Bl:37EU, in lettuce.
This downy mildew race (Bremia lactucae, Bl) has been found in multiple regions in France in the past years and more recently also in Spain, Portugal and Italy.
After several resistance test, we confirm that all the commercial Maraldi varieties with resistance to Bl:16-36EU are also resistant to Bremia Bl:16-37EU.
Nowdays Maraldi offers a wide range of baby leaf lettuce varieties with resistant to this new race Bl:37EU.
